How Treecycling Tree Services collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Who we are
Treecycling Tree Services provides arboricultural services across Wollongong and the Illawarra. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
Only what we need to quote and carry out work:
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- The property address where work is to be performed.
- Details and photographs of the trees and the site.
- Records of correspondence, quotes and invoices.
- Standard website analytics, collected in aggregate.
We do not collect payment card details through this website.
How we use it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare and send a quote, schedule and perform work, invoice you, meet our safety and insurance obligations, and keep the records we are legally required to keep. Where you have agreed, we may occasionally send seasonal reminders. Every such message includes an unsubscribe option.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only where necessary: with our insurers if a claim arises, with your council where a tree application requires your details, with a crane or traffic management subcontractor engaged for your specific job, and with our accountants and legal advisers where required.
Site photographs
We photograph completed work for our records and occasionally for marketing. We do not publish images identifying a property address without asking the owner first. Tell the crew if you would prefer we did not photograph your job.
Security and retention
Information is stored in access-controlled business systems. We keep quotes, job records and invoices for seven years to meet taxation and insurance requirements, then destroy or de-identify them.
Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies for basic functionality and anonymous traffic analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days at the latest.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
