These terms
These terms apply to all quotes, bookings and work performed by Treecycling Tree Services. By accepting a quote or allowing us to commence work you agree to them. Where a written quote says something different, that document takes precedence.
Quotes
Quotes are free and given after an on-site inspection unless agreed otherwise. A quote is valid for 30 days and is fixed for the scope described in it.
Additional work discovered on the day, such as concealed structural defects or hazards not visible at quoting, will be discussed and priced before we proceed. We will not do extra work and then invoice you for it.
Your responsibilities
Before we arrive, please confirm you own the trees or have the owner's written authority, that any required council approval is in place unless we have agreed to obtain it, and that we have clear and safe access.
Please secure pets, move vehicles from the work zone, and tell us about anything buried we would not know about: irrigation, septic systems, private power or water runs. We locate services where we reasonably can but cannot be responsible for damage to unmarked private infrastructure we were not told about.
Access and site conditions
Quotes assume the access conditions observed at inspection. If access changes, for example a locked gate, a blocking vehicle, or ground too wet to bring equipment onto, we may need to reschedule and additional charges may apply. Steep or unstable ground may require a revised method.
Approvals and bushfire clearing
You are responsible for obtaining any council approval required to remove or prune a protected tree, unless we have specifically agreed in writing to obtain it. Where work is proposed under the NSW 10/50 Vegetation Clearing Code of Practice, eligibility is checked at the time of works, and we will not proceed with clearing we believe falls outside the Code. We will not proceed with work we believe to be unlawful.
Safety and weather
We may postpone or stop work where conditions are unsafe, including high wind, lightning, extreme heat or unstable ground. Safety decisions on site rest with our crew leader and are not negotiable.
Clean-up and material
Unless the quote says otherwise, all green waste generated is removed from site and recycled into mulch, firewood or milled timber. If you want mulch retained, tell us before we start and we will leave a pile in an agreed location at no charge. Timber retained for firewood or milling is quoted separately.
Stump grinding
Stump grinding is only included where the quote says so. Standard grinding is to approximately 300mm below existing grade. Grindings are left on site and backfilled unless removal was quoted. We locate services before grinding but cannot be responsible for damage to unmarked private infrastructure.
Arborist reports
Reports are independent professional opinions prepared on the basis of a visual assessment at a point in time. We cannot guarantee a particular conclusion or that a consent authority will accept an application. Fees are payable for the work of preparing the report regardless of the outcome of any application.
Payment
Residential work is payable on completion unless other terms are agreed in writing. Commercial and strata accounts are net 14 days. Larger jobs may require a deposit, stated on the quote. Overdue accounts may attract reasonable recovery costs.
Cancellation
Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations inside 24 hours, or where our crew arrives and cannot access the site, may attract a callout fee reflecting the mobilisation cost.
Insurance and liability
We carry public liability and workers compensation insurance. Certificates of currency are available on request.
We take responsibility for damage caused by our negligence. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, damage to unmarked private underground services, normal minor lawn marking from equipment, or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Emergency work
After-hours emergency work is charged at our callout rate, advised before we attend. Emergency attendance is a make-safe service focused on removing immediate danger. Full removal, stump grinding and complete clean-up are normally scheduled separately at standard rates.
Mulch and firewood
Mulch and firewood are natural products that vary in colour, species mix and texture between loads. Firewood is sold as seasoned hardwood and we make no guarantee of a specific moisture content or species. Delivery is to a location the truck can safely reach.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
